Excellence Awards 2005

The MEC for Free State Department of Education Ouma Tsopo was honoring and saluting men and women who dedicated their work to change the life of the Free Starters. She recognizes men and women of great determination in the public service, who despite the challenging conditions under which they work, dedicate their lives to serving our nation. In honoring the awards winners the MEC pointed out that the excellence awards are starting to instill a culture of excellence and pride in the Department and in the public service as the Department is creating a model of quality public service for which all officials aspire.  The awards were ranging from outstanding assistant staff member, outstanding support staff member, outstanding professional administrative office worker or supervisor and outstanding team. The Excellence awards was graced by the Premier of Free State Beatrice Marshoff.  

The Head of the Department Mr, MS Rakometsi utter a remarkable statement in saluting the awards winners by indicating that the Excellence Awards Function for Public Servants is a worthy tribute to and celebration of, the fundamental qualities of excellence demonstrated by men and women in the public service, who continue to shine in their little corners in making it possible for the Department to realize it is critical to realize its critical obligation of providing quality education to all in the province.
